Accounting ManagerSupervise and develop an Accounting team through hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and career development to ensure efficient operations and support a growing organization while maintaining high professional standards.Assign, delegate, and coordinate staff responsibilities to ensure departmental goals and deadlines are consistently achieved.Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements for one of the three company's business segments.Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and resolve cross-functional inquiries related to financial statements and general ledger activity.Collaborate with sales, operations, and corporate partners to analyze financial performance and support budgeting and forecasting activities.Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts across P&L, balance sheet, capital expenditures, and cash flow; communicate key findings to management.Assist with interim and annual external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.Develop and utilize financial analytics to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.Implement and document process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within accounting and reporting functions.Support special projects and corporate initiatives by providing ad hoc financial analysis, including acquisition support, system implementations, and cost-reduction initiatives.Skills and Qualifications:5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or people-management roleStrong proficiency with financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsProven analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesExperience analyzing complex transactions and applying U.S. GAAP appropriatelyClear and professional verbal and written communication skillsCPA and/or MBA in Accounting preferredExperience with cloud-based ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and NetSuite; BlackLine experience a plusCompany Benefits:2 Medical Plan Options - Base HSA (High Deductible) and Buy-UpPrescription (Rx) InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)2 Dental Plan Options - Base Dental and Buy-Up Dental PlansVision InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA's)Health Care FSADependent Care FSACompany Paid Base Life InsuranceCompany Paid Accident, Death & Dismemberment InsuranceCompany Paid Business Travel Accident InsuranceCompany Paid Disability InsuranceShort-Term Disability (STD) and Base Long-Term Disability (LTD) InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Voluntary Hospital, Accident & Critical Illness (Cancer) Insurance401(K) Retirement Plan with 50% Company MatchVoluntary Pet InsuranceVacation and Personal/Sick TimePaid Grandparent LeavePaid Bonding LeaveAdoption AssistanceEducation Assistance (Tuition Reimbursement)About WastequipWastequip got its start in 1989 with containers and compactors.
