Accounting Manager

Kforce's client, a growing life sciences organization located in Burlington, MA area, is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to support accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, FP&A, and eventually through an ERP implementation. This full‑time on‑site role is a high‑visibility opportunity for a self‑starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable taking ownership across multiple areas of Finance as right hand to CFO/ Controller. Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements
• Support tax provisions, compliance, audits, and external advisors
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis
• Support ERP implementation, data migration, testing, and process improvements
• Partner with Finance, IT, and operational teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general‑ledger and full‑cycle close experience
• Prior Life Sciences, Pharma or Biotech industry client base or experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
