This role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, with the ability to lead processes, drive improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessOversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAPSupervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environmentPartner with operations and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with external auditors and support audit processesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalabilityAssist with system implementations, upgrades, and integrations as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership roleExperience in a services-based or multi-site organization (facilities management, property services, or similar industry preferred)Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingProven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsProficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skillsAbout UG2Founded in 2012, UG2 is privately held and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
