Accounting Manager
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Compensation: $130,000 - $145,000 per year
The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the company's accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role partners closely with finance leadership and oversees day-to-day accounting activities, internal controls, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the monthly close process
- Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Review general ledger activity and support accurate recordkeeping
- Help evaluate and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support technical accounting research as needed
- Assist with audits and coordination with external auditors
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and U.S. GAAP
- Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
- Ability to work cross-functionally and support process improvement
Desired Skills and Experience
