The Accountant 3 will establish and maintain accounting policies, fiscal controls and prepare financial reports and safeguard our organization's assets. We seek a professional with basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

In this role, you will help build accurate standard financial statements that comply with established requirements and policies. Contribute to new setup and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness. Review and create standard accounting report packages. Perform basic accounting duties.

Maintain accounting and financial records and reports. Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.Job Purpose And ImpactThe US GAAP Consultant will monitor and implement new accounting standards, maintain the company's global accounting policies, and educate finance and business personnel on these policies globally. In this role, you will provide senior management, businesses, functions, and finance teams guidance on the application of the global accounting policies to significant and unusual transactions. You will collaborate with global process owners, information technology and the controls team to design and implement processes, controls and systems that comply with accounting policies.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and advise on global accounting policies and procedures.Manage projects to implement new accounting standards including evaluation, research, and communication of the impact to key finance and business leaders.

Design processes and controls to comply with new standards.Develop and coordinate execution of accounting policy training strategy for global finance and business teams.Apply an advanced understanding of internal and external best practices to review and evaluate areas of improvement.Identify and lead policy and process optimization activities, partnering with other finance experts and leaders to promote process change in the entire company.Foster partnership with external auditors to resolve significant accounting and audit matters.Lead complex and high-profile accounting projects such as impairment analyses and accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint venturesAssist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements as well as audit committee materials.Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of six years of related work experiencePreferred QualificationsMinimum of eight years of related work experienceCertified public accounting license or equivalentMinimum of five years of experience in public accountingExperience auditing financial statements and internal control over company's accounting and reporting processes.Experience accounting for mergers and acquisitionsExperience in technical accounting research and writing technical memos
