Property Management Accounting Consultant

We're partnering with a growing property management organization that needs an experienced accounting professional to jump in, identify financial discrepancies, and help bring consistency across a portfolio of 38 properties.
This isn't a month-end close role. It's a project where your experience and problem-solving skills will be valued from day one.
What You'll Do
- Reconcile tenant and general ledgers across multiple properties
- Investigate billing, payment, and coding discrepancies
- Review lease agreements and HAP contracts for financial accuracy
- Partner directly with the CFO, Controller, and property managers to resolve issues
- Recommend process improvements to prevent future errors
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Property management accounting experience
- Strong ledger reconciliation and investigative accounting skills
- Experience with leases, rent rolls, or subsidized housing (a plus)
- The ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Excel proficiency and experience with RealPage OneSite, Yardi, MRI, or similar software
