The right candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who can accurately process transactions and manage financial statement accounts.Benefits:Medical and dental insurance401k PlanPTOLife insuranceShort-term disabilityGrowth opportunitiesEmployee discountsFamily-owned and operatedResponsibilities:Support monthly financial close, including calculating and posting daily, weekly, and monthly transactionsReview financial statement accounts and schedules; work with the accounting staff to correct discrepanciesRecord daily bank depositsRecord manufacturer vehicle invoicesComplete new vehicle reporting requirement with manufacturersWork with sales and operations to ensure manufacture accounts such as warranty claims and rebates are collected timelyPrepare and file sales, use and rental tax returnsPrepare annual unclaimed property reporting and submissionsProcess monthly transactions and financial statements for property companiesSupport other administrative tasks as neededFoster teamwork across all departmentsQualifications:Associate degree in Accounting or Business1-2 years in accounting position preferred; office environment experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood communication skills and eagerness to improveAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesAbout Us:Customers have trusted Sternberg Automotive Group for over 60 years!
