Membership & Billing Specialist (Contract)Location: Mettawa, IL (Hybrid – Onsite & Remote) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $20–$23/hour Assignment Length: Sept 28th, 2026 – October 18, 2026Our client, a trusted and well-established organization headquartered in Mettawa, IL, is seeking a Membership & Billing Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of customer service, account administration, billing support, and data management in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess membership cancellation requests in multiple systems, including Oracle and Salesforce (SFDC), while maintaining accurate records and timelines.Update and maintain cancellation trackers and membership databases.Process membership agreement changes and account updates.Handle member inquiries related to cancellations, billing, refunds, and account status.Process member refunds accurately and efficiently.Maintain electronic member files and documentation within shared drives.Perform data entry and record-keeping activities while ensuring a high level of accuracy.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive member experience.Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, administrative, accounting, or operations-related role.Experience with Oracle, Salesforce (SFDC), QuickBooks, or similar systems preferred.Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Strong data entry and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.Strong problem-solving skills and customer service mindset.Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) experience is a plus.Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.Why Apply?Opportunity to work with a reputable organization at its corporate headquarters.Hybrid work environment offering flexibility.Competitive hourly pay.
