Accounting Associate, Accounts ReceivableAccounting Associate, Accounts Receivable works closely with Credit Director and assists with all areas of the day-to-day functions within the receivables department, as needed. Location:Hybrid: Three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in-office in Long Beach, CA.Remote work from home on Mondays and Fridays.Ability to work flexible hours when needed to accommodate traveling for marketing events.About the Role - Key Responsibilities:Maintain collections for both SP and Direct customers, to include generating collection notices and follow-up communicationsReconcile Aging reportsReport generation and analysis, as neededGenerate and publish direct billings and monthly statementsBilling and collections maintenance; engage with customers on aged accounts and facilitate paymentsProcess payments and other cash receiptsProcess credit memos to include COOP reimbursements, as well as trade receivable creditsBalance daily deposits and record entries, as requiredAnalyze aged A/R accounts and present to Credit Director for further treatment as neededWork with Sales and Client Engagement teams to ensure invoices are collected within termsOther duties as assignedAbout You - Essential Qualifications:Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including GAAP processes related to accounts receivable, and understanding of basic accounting rules and regulations and the policies and procedures of the finance department.Concentration in A/R & credit collection experience desired.Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to work effectively across all departments and with customersAnalytical skills and excellent problem-solving skills a mustMust be detail oriented with ability to prioritize and organize efficientlyUnderstanding of accounting software basics, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel, required; Quickbooks experience preferred.Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor's degreeAt least three years of accounting experienceStrong proficiency in MS office and general computer useThe salary range varies, and pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, certifications (if applicable), candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and years of experience amongst other factors.Salary range from $29.33 - $37.50Perks & Benefits at a GlanceGenerous time off:15 Days of Vacation3 Floating Holidays2 Paid Volunteer Holidays9 Paid HolidaysHybrid Work EnvironmentFree Parking: covered and EV charging stationsVarious 401 (k) Investment Options and Generous Company MatchHMO and PPO Medical Care Options (Employees are fully covered under HMO)
