Job TitleFull Time - 12 month positionPurpose: To assist the Chief Financial Officer in efficiently handling district funds, including but not limited to district fees, to serve as the Food Service Representative for the district, and to assist in maintaining the district inventory.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree pertaining to business preferred, equivalent experience and qualifications will be consideredDemonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilitiesAttend scheduled meetings and conferences as requestedMaintain a high level of confidentiality and have good communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-intensive work environmentPass physical examinationHave such other qualifications, as the district may find appropriate and acceptableSupervisor: Chief Financial OfficerDate: June 2026Performance Responsibilities:Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, administrators and public in order to support the food service program and district fees.Make any and all cash deposits and remote deposit processingPost receipts and process any coding correctionsRun and balance receipt journalsManage insufficient check processing & Fee CollectionDistrict processing of student withdrawals/refundsAdminister Child Nutrition Program (CNP) and process applications as the designated Food Service Representative for the districtMaintain KCAN systems for KSDE/CNP reporting & claimsMaintain food service software program and SIS software for CNP & district feesMaintain district processes for food service procurement and meal charge policyAssist in reconciling Food Service daily/weekly receiptsAssist with Audit of Food Service sites per State guidelinesAssist in weekly food service receipts/reportsStay abreast of changes in the Food Service regulationsDistrict Liaison to Food Service Management Company (FSMC)Coordinate & maintain district wide inventory process and recordsAssist with Federal/State required wellness policyFull time 12 month positionOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Sitting, standing, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, squatting, kneeling, fingering or otherwise working with fingers, and moving light furniture may be required.Work Environment:The employee must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. The employee must be alert and able to meet deadlines.
Flexibility and patience are required. The employee must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. Overtime work may occasionally be required.
