Job Duties
Provides program and district managers with accurate and timely financial information and advice.
Evaluates account balances, trends, and conditions thereof to provide guidance to operating officials.
Provides accounting data and support to budget and program managers for preparation of budgetary and program data.
Interprets accounting regulations and gives financial advice and recommendations based on law, regulations, and professional knowledge of accounting practices.
Solves difficult financial management problems in the organization's programs.
Projects fund requirements and makes recommendations to managers and higher authority for additional requirements.
Initiates and recommends procedures and policies to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse of resources.
Ensures adequate internal control reviews on cost accounts and general ledgers.
