Accountant
Currently looking for an accounting professional with a strong combination of accounting, financial analysis and technical skills to join a great company and take on the role of Accountant. The Accountant will have at least 2 years of hands-on involvement with accounting processes, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
Accountant Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of corporate accounting and financial analysis experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting / Finance
- Accountant must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions in analysis
- Accountant must have knowledge of policies and practices associated with payroll and benefits administration
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Provide account analysis for monthly internal management reports for review by senior management.
- Accountant is responsible for account reconciliations, for various P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure timely preparation of journal entries for month-end close, including supporting documentation.
- Accountant will assist with preparation of audit work papers for semi-annual audits (June/December).
- Assist with monthly corporate overhead preparation, to include calculation of corporate overhead cost allocations
- Work on various complex financial models for calculating recoveries and capitalization of corporate overhead costs.
- Support in quarterly corporate forecasting and annual budget processes.
- Collaborate with the team on systems implementations, testing and process improvements.
