Among the industries served are the chemical processing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, refining, and power generation.Position SummaryThe Accountant manages all aspects of the month-end close process, completes account reconciliations, prepares sales & use tax returns, assists in internal and external audits, and assists with variance analysis as requested.

The Accountant will report directly to the NAM Business Unit Controller.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for timely completion of Month-end close process for multiple business unitsResponsible for balance sheet account reconciliationsAssist in development of Budgets and ForecastsMaintain local ERP general ledger and upload data in Crane Co financial consolidation system, HFMMaintain Fixed Asset records, Capital Expenditure Requests and AuditsMonitor and report on inventory obsolescence and slow-moving itemsConduct special projects and analysis as requested by managementManage 3rd party commission payments and rebatesAssist monthly financial statementsAssist with Sales and Use TaxMINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and promptly with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.Technology savvy.
