Experienced Accountant
G.A. Johnson Construction, a well established Construction Management and Design Build company is seeking an experienced accountant. Successful candidate must have five years history of successful performance in a similar position. This position is located in Harrisburg, SD. We are a professional building service company providing Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Contracting around South Dakota and the upper Midwest. Full Time M-F: Benefits after 90 days include health/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401K.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Account Receivable
- Payroll
- Monthly Financial Statements
- Assist in year end annual audits
Requirements:
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting, payroll processing, and benefit administration
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and applications
- Experience and knowledge of payroll principles and applications, tax reporting requirements
- Ability to organize and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five(5) or more years of accounting, financial reporting, payroll processing, and benefit administration
- Experience with Sage accounting software a plus
- Working experience with MS Office, Excel, Word
- Excellent written or oral skills
