About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with 2–5 years of accounting experience to join our team in Secaucus, NJ.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, general accounting, tax compliance, and audit support, along with hands-on experience in month-end close, account reconciliations, and accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, and accounting reports.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjusting entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with federal and state tax compliance and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor internal controls, investigate discrepancies, and recommend process improvements.
• Utilize Excel and ERP/accounting systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Exposure to tax preparation, tax compliance, and financial audits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active CPA license or certification.
• Experience in public accounting or a CPA firm.
• Big 4 or national accounting firm experience.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Familiarity with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in technology, consulting, engineering services, or professional services.
