AccountantLocation: San Jose, California Work Type: Long-Term Contract Positions: 1 The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports • Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsMonth-End / Year-End Close• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes • Reconcile balance sheet accounts • Prepare supporting documentationAccounts Payable / Receivable• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances • Ensure timely vendor paymentsFinancial Reporting• Prepare financial statements and reports • Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies • Support audits and provide required documentationCompliance & Controls• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies • Maintain internal controls and documentation • Support audit processesMust-Have Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 3+ years of accounting experience • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) • Attention to detail and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications• CPA or CPA candidate (Preferred) • Experience in corporate / manufacturing environment • Experience with ERP systems • Strong communication skillsCore Competencies• Financial analysis • Attention to detail • Problem-solving • Time management • Communication
