Accountant

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000

Key Responsibilities for the Accountant:

  • Manage reinsurance accounting activities related to premiums, losses, recoveries, collateral, and cash allocations.
  • Prepare, validate, and distribute treaty bordereaux and settlement reports.
  • Process treaty and facultative premium and claims settlements and collections.
  • Perform reconciliations between ceded balances and general ledger reports.
  • Support quarterly and year-end reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits, financial analysis, reconciliations, and process improvement projects.

Qualifications for the Accountant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting, finance, insurance, or financial services experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
