Job Title: Accountant (QuickBooks & Advanced Excel Expert)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant with 10+ years of hands‑on accounting experience, exceptional QuickBooks proficiency, and strong Excel formula and data‑analysis skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can manage accounting operations with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full‑cycle accounting, including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Maintain and optimize QuickBooks company files, chart of accounts, and reporting structure
- Perform advanced Excel‑based financial analysis (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, pivot tables, nested formulas, data validation, etc.)
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management
- Assist with year‑end closing and external audits
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional accounting experience
- Expert‑level QuickBooks skills (Desktop and/or Online)
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in multi‑entity accounting
- Familiarity with inventory accounting, job costing, or manufacturing
- Knowledge of additional accounting software or ERP systems, Fishbowl(warehouse inventory)
