Accountant

We’re hiring an experienced Accountant to join our corporate team in Lansing, MI.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable managing high-volume day-to-day accounting work and taking ownership of technical accounting responsibilities through month-end close.

As the sole accountant on our corporate team, you’ll work closely with our CFO and support a multi-location, two-state organization.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Leading the month-end close process
• Preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger support
• Bank reconciliations and multi-location cost allocations
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Collections and national account billing
• Gross margin and branch accounting support
• Serving as backup for weekly payroll and payroll tax processing

We’re looking for someone with strong corporate accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, solid GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced branch network. Experience with Sage Intacct or TempWorks is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
