Accountant II Or Accountant IIIApplies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and related documents by performing the following duties.Compiles and analyzes inventories, COGS (sales basis), and manufacturing costs.Reconciles inventories from sub-ledger to G/L, including preparing proper journal entries.Reviews inventory sub-ledgers.Understands and analysis system linkage, as we use 2 independent system, GMS (inventories) and ORACLE (financial accounting).Understands procedures and controls over inventories and reports to management any missing or deficiencies in controls.Communicates with other departments to figure out issues over inventories.Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative report.Reconciles and assesses inventory reserves.Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation.Required Skills and Education Requirements:BS (Accounting) degreeMinimum 5-year experience at accounting industryExperience at manufacturing companies is plusUnderstand the concept of BS and ISAdvanced or intermediate excel skill.Logical thinking.Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.This position requires travel to our manufacturing plant in Reynosa Mexico, one to two times a week; company-provided secure transportation is included.
