From uncovering the next clinical breakthrough, to rapid and reliable sample analysis, to more rigorous decision making—we are enabling clinicians to deliver the best possible care to their patients with improved efficiency, clinical confidence, adaptive collaboration, and accelerated intelligence.The Accounting Analyst II is responsible for performing general ledger and accounting close activities, as well as executing the global Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) testing plan, with the goal of closing the books and reporting financial results in a timely and accurate manner.This position reports to the Senior Manager of Global Consolidations and North America Accounting and is part of the Finance and Accounting Organization located in Brea, CA and will be onsite.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Manage multiple general ledger accounts, including accruals, and general closing activitiesPrepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and support accurate financial close processesCollaborate with various departments globally to obtain and review supporting documents and processes for Sox audits.Identify, recommend, and actively participate in business process improvement opportunities.The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field with 2+ years experience OR Masters degree in field with 0-2 years experience.General accounting experienceDemonstrated working knowledge of Sarbanes?Oxley (SOX) requirements, including documentation, testing, and evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and meet established project deadlinesIt would be a plus if you also possess:General Leger and/or public accounting experience from Big4 or mid-tier firmCertified Public Accountant (CPA) licenseWorking experience with accounting using Oracle, MS OfficeBeckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
