This entry-level role provides the opportunity to gain broad experience across general accounting functions while working closely with internal departments. This position will assist in preparing financial data, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries related to general ledger activity, fixed assets, and accrualsAssist in the monthly close process by compiling and analyzing financial dataReconcile bank statements and general ledger accountsMonitor and report on operational expenditures across various departmentsEnsure accounting records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policySupport audit processes by providing documentation and responding to inquiriesParticipate in process improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned by managementEducation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or oil & gas industry experience preferred)Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting softwareSolid analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailEffective organizational and time management skillsAbility to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writingStrong sense of accountability and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
