⚙ What You'll Be Doing
Core Accounting
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting documentation
  • Record and review transactions involving revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities
  • Perform recurring account reconciliations and research discrepancies
  • Assist with maintaining accurate financial records across multiple areas of the business
Financial Close & Reporting
  • Support monthly and annual close activities
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, revenue-related accounting, and other close adjustments
  • Help prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting
  • Compile financial information for leadership review
Analysis & Decision Support
  • Review financial results and investigate significant variances
  • Compare actual performance against budgets and historical results
  • Help identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide financial information that helps management evaluate business performance
Banking & Cash Management
  • Assist with daily cash reporting and monitoring
  • Prepare information required for banking relationships
  • Support borrowing-base and financial covenant reporting
  • Help ensure banking-related information is accurate and delivered on schedule
Tax & Audit Support
  • Assist with recurring state and local tax filings
  • Support external financial and benefit-plan audits
  • Prepare schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and other materials requested during audit processes
  • Help maintain organized records for regulatory and financial reporting purposes
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to make accounting processes more efficient
  • Help reduce unnecessary manual work and improve reporting accuracy
  • Work with other departments to obtain information and resolve financial questions
  • Participate in projects designed to improve controls, workflows, and cost management
• What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of verifiable accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working with an ERP or accounting system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage projects and assignments independently
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine willingness to learn new systems, processes, and areas of accounting
• Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operational accounting experience
  • State and local tax reporting
  • CPA certification
  • Experience with Avalara or similar tax platforms
  • Experience with ASC 842 / LeaseCrunch or comparable lease-accounting systems
  • Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation
  • Familiarity with GAAP
