AccountantThe Accountant role will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining financial records, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. In addition, this role will partner with highly skilled professionals across the business to ensure accuracy, support audits, and drive efficient accounting processes. This candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about maintaining financial integrity and supporting organizational success.
In addition, the person in this role will have the mentality to think like a business owner and take a proactive yet collaborative approach to accomplishing business goals. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager or Controller.Responsibilities:Ensure the accurate and timely compilation of accounting information, analyses and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and proceduresSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting closes for areas of functional responsibilityComplete and/or oversee the monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts; follow up and resolve outstanding balancing issuesAccurately and efficiently maintain balance sheet accounts; analyze, understand and interpret trends and variances, and explain fluxesSupport preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis based on areas within accounting including cash, accruals, accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany reconciliations and foreign exchangePrepare forecasts and budgets for specific business units for centrally managed costs such as insurance and share-based compensationRequirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work1 year of accounting or financial reporting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or similarCPA3 years of experience in accounting or financeIntermediate Excel skills
