Accountant PositionWe're seeking an Accountant with a diligent mindset to join our accounting team that prides itself on providing superior support for an exceptional group of companies. Palisades Holdings Inc. represents a network of dedicated companies specializing in the fabrication and distribution of high-end specialty alloy products for key end-use markets.Following all regulatory and accounting guidelines, the Accountant will assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for multiple entities under the supervision of the Controller.

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Accountant. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.Assist in producing accurate and timely financial statementsPrepare monthly journal entriesReconcile general ledger accounts for monthly and year end closingAssist in the preparation of forecastsReview financial reports with managementPrepare and participate in internal and external auditsAssist in the management of business tax accounts and preparation of business tax filingsConduct various analyses for managementDaily cash management, set up ACHs/wiresAssist in special projects as necessaryEnsure compliance with all internal controlsOccasional travel for inventory auditsRequired QualificationsBachelor degree in AccountingCPA PreferredStrong work ethic; self-motivatedExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDetail orientated with strong critical thinking and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasksMicrosoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and OutlookCompany Benefits401k with Company MatchHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong-term disabilityShort-term disabilityPaid Time OffPaid Holidays
