Account Manager - Pricing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager - Pricing Specialist to support and manage key corporate accounts for a growing logistics and freight forwarding organization. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers while also taking ownership of complex freight pricing, quotations, carrier negotiations, and customized transportation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience pricing multimodal freight shipments involving multiple carriers and transportation providers. This includes coordinating rates across different stages of a shipment, such as pickup, transfer, air or ocean transportation, destination clearance, and final delivery.

This is a permanent, onsite position based in Lake Worth, FL, offering a Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts and act as an escalation resource for customer service and operational issues.
• Manage customer requests for special projects, expedited shipments, and customized freight solutions.
• Develop and provide accurate ad hoc pricing and freight quotations for complex, multimodal shipments with minimal supervision.
• Build complete freight rates by coordinating pricing across multiple carriers, transportation providers, freight partners, and global agents.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate rates and capacity with carriers and transportation partners.
• Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, and account leadership to ensure customer requirements are met and shipments move successfully.
• Provide customers with guidance regarding freight processes, transit requirements, routing, and transportation solutions.
• Monitor shipment and service issues and coordinate timely resolutions while maintaining strong customer communication.
• Support key customer projects and events through relationship management and occasional onsite customer visits.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, freight partners, and global agents.
• Provide pricing and transportation solutions for unique or time-sensitive freight requirements.
• Travel approximately 3-4 times per year to customer locations based on business needs.
• Provide limited after-hours support for designated accounts when urgent customer issues arise.

Job Qualifications

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
• Proven hands-on experience pricing multimodal freight shipments involving multiple carriers and transportation providers.
• Experience developing freight rates that combine multiple transportation legs, such as pickup, transfer, air or ocean transportation, destination clearance, and final delivery.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding, transportation operations, and supply chain processes.
• Ability to independently develop complex freight rates and customized transportation solutions.
• Experience obtaining and negotiating rates with carriers, freight partners, agents, and other transportation providers.
• Strong understanding of freight pricing within a freight forwarding environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requests and pricing projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lake Worth, FL, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• Willingness to travel approximately 3-4 times per year to customer locations.
