Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager for a full-time opportunity. This position will oversee daily logistics operations, support client and carrier relationships, and coordinate transportation and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will provide operational leadership, monitor performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure efficient account management while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Essential Duties:
- Serve as the strategic point of contact for client, LMR, and carrier personnel.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Operations.
- Provide operational leadership and support for daily operations and various projects involving operations and accounting personnel servicing the account.
- Collaborate with LMR, client, and carrier personnel to develop and maintain performance metrics related to operational, accounting, and supply chain processes.
- Develop and produce reports and analytics for management, recommending and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct root cause investigations and oversee corrective action implementation.
Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bulk transportation.
- Prior knowledge of third-party logistics (3PL), chemical transportation, or logistics software is preferred.
- Strong analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience developing and implementing performance metrics.
- Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and/or other logistics analytical tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to perform daily activities associated with an office and operations management environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
