We are seeking a highly motivated member of our sales team to serve as an Account Director and lead the long‑term strategic vision for priority accounts. The role owns executive engagement, oversees complex deal cycles, and ensures our commercial strategy is executed with excellence across teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Leadership: Define and guide long‑term business strategies for designated accounts, establishing clear growth plans, revenue objectives, and market expansion priorities.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain C‑suite relationships with major customers and industry partners; lead high‑stakes negotiations and close complex, high‑value opportunities.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to sales managers and staff; hire, develop, and coach high‑performing talent to ensure organizational strength and succession readiness.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Finance to drive alignment, build scalable processes, and ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Customer‑Centric Advocacy: Champion a customer‑focused culture, proactively managing expectations and fostering long‑term, executive‑level partnerships.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Develop and oversee best‑in‑class forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance analytics to support data‑driven decision‑making and organizational accountability.
  • Market & Competitive Insight: Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic planning and product development.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as a senior ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and key customer engagements, enhancing the company’s visibility and market position.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee continuous improvement of sales systems, processes, and policies to support scalability, efficiency, and profitability.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or director‑level role overseeing teams, major accounts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proven success managing executive‑level relationships and closing enterprise‑scale deals within large or complex organizations.
  • Strong track record as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, contributing to financial modeling, organizational planning, and long‑term strategy.
  • Advanced analytical capability with experience optimizing sales processes, systems, and performance metrics at scale.
  • Ability to translate long‑term organizational vision into actionable, results‑driven sales strategies.
  • Collaborative, influential leadership style with a commitment to developing high‑performing teams and fostering continuous improvement.

Location: Chicago, IL. Salary: $119,000 – $170,000. Employment type: Full‑time. Seniority level: Director.
