Access Monitor / Guard I SurgeThe successful candidate will need to monitor Government Test Equipment/Property. This person's duties involve serving at a fixed post, making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle, and/or escorting persons to various locations on WSMR Post. May help visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions. Will ensure that emergencies and security violations are quickly discovered and reported.
May include long hours, flex shifts, outdoor conditions (heat, rain, snow, wind, etc.) and some TDY when necessary. This is a surge position. Days and hours of work will vary due to requirements.Your day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:Monitoring activitiesProtect controlled area(s)Record names of individuals requesting accessLog vehicles entering and leaving siteGrant or deny access at various facilities and locationsEscorting visitorsRetrieve/deliver test data from and to remote site locationsArchive data at existing storage facilitiesPackage and prepare test data for shipping and deliver data to commercial shipping facilitiesPrepare Compendiums of documentation for delivery to customersPerform local area sweeps to ensure that personnel are free of unauthorized electronic devicesOperate (arm/disarm) facility IDSAdditional duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoW Secret ClearanceHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid U.S.
