Access Governance Subject Matter Expert

To support a Microsoft 365 governance and access risk assessment for a large insurance organization, the part-time Access Governance Subject Matter Expert will lead the identity governance workstream, evaluating access practices and identifying risks related to oversharing and ineffective identity controls in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities Assess Microsoft Entra ID governance practices, including group ownership and guest lifecycle management Perform identity reconciliation activities to identify stale and orphaned accounts Analyze group memberships to determine effective access and evaluate risks associated with guest access Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) identity governance and access management Strong expertise in access reviews, entitlement management, and identity lifecycle processes Experience reconciling identity data against HRIS or other authoritative systems Hands-on experience using Microsoft Graph and PowerShell for identity and access data analysis Strong understanding of nested groups and effective access analysis
