Access Control TechnicianRightech is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Access Control Technician in Ann Arbor, MI starting ASAP.Location: Ann Arbor, MIDuration: OngoingStart Date: ASAPWe are seeking a skilled Access Control Technician with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage security and access control systems for an ongoing project in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be experienced in installation, troubleshooting, and termination of access control systems in commercial environments.Responsibilities:Install, terminate, and service access control systems including card readers, keypads, biometric devices, door strikes, and maglocksPull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling for access control systemsUse meter and tone tools to trace, identify, and verify cabling runsDress and organize access control panels to industry standards (clean terminations, labeled wiring, proper cable management)Mount and secure field devices in accordance with specifications and site requirementsPerform continuity and functionality testing of installed systemsWork from prints, riser diagrams, and installation drawingsCoordinate with lead technicians and site supervisors to complete installations efficientlyEnsure all work complies with safety standards and project requirementsRequirements:Minimum 5+ years of experience in access control or low-voltage security installationProficiency with meter and tone equipmentHands-on experience installing card readers, access control panels, door strikes, and maglocksAbility to dress and organize access control panels neatly and professionallyFamiliarity with basic low-voltage wiring standards and best practicesAbility to read and interpret basic installation drawings or schematicsReliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a teamRequired PPE: Yes Required Tools: Basic industry hand tools
