nJob Description
nSummary: New York Life's Montana General Office is seeking candidates for our Accelerated Path to Management program. If you hold an MBA or similar advanced degree, or have prior management, direct sales, or business-owner experience, your leadership background qualifies you to begin recruiting, hiring, and developing your own team of Financial Professionals from day one — working toward becoming a Managing Partner overseeing a general office. Must live in Montana, Southeastern Idaho, or Northern Wyoming.
nResponsibilities: Build out your own group within New York Life. Move your practice to the point in which you will recruit and hire Financial Professionals; mentor and develop your team; lead through recruiting and development, not just personal sales quotas; meet program metrics to advance toward management.
nQualifies With: Completed BA or similar advanced degree, OR previous management, direct sales, or business-owner experience.
nDesired: Leadership instincts; coachable and self-disciplined; strong communicator; Life and Health license preferred (will be required to obtain FINRA SIE, Series 6/7, 63).
nWhat We Offer:
nYour experience counts from day one. This program is built around what you've already accomplished — your prior leadership, sales, or business experience directly qualifies you to lead, rather than requiring you to prove yourself in sales production first.
nA real financial safety net while you build. A subsidized training allowance of up to $52,500 over your first two years, on top of your commission income, so you're supported while establishing your team.
nWe invest in your credentials. Licensing and exam costs are sponsored — you're not paying out of pocket to get started.
nBacked by exceptional financial strength. New York Life is one of only two U.S. life insurers currently holding the highest financial strength ratings from all four major agencies — A.M. Best, Fitch, Moody's, and Standard & Poor's — and ranks #69 on the 2025 Fortune 500.
nA track record of leading professionals. New York Life has led U.S. membership in the Million Dollar Round Table for 71 consecutive years, reflecting the caliber of the professionals you'll be recruiting into your team and the network you'll be part of.
nBenefits built for the long term. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and a pension plan — a level of long-term security that's uncommon in commission-based leadership roles.
nFlexibility to build on your terms. Hybrid/remote from day one, giving you control over how you structure your recruiting and team-building work.
nCompensation: Commission-based; income tied to recruiting, development, and leadership results. Not guaranteed.
