Job Summary

The Academy Director is responsible for the overall management, growth, and quality of the RevKids Academy programs at the Revolution SoccerComplex. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in youth soccer development, program management, and customer service. The Academy Director will oversee a team of directors and coaches, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality training and fostering the development of young athletes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management and Leadership

  • Manage Staff: Support, oversee, develop, and hold coaching staff accountable for their performance and responsibilities.
  • Evaluation: Conduct annual and bi‑annual evaluations of directors and coaches based on performance metrics and program outcomes.
  • Coach Development Platform: Develop and execute a comprehensive coach development platform, including meetings, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and formal education opportunities.
  • Player/League/Tournament Placements: Support and approve player placements, league participation, and tournament selections to ensure appropriate competition levels and player development.
  • Scheduling: Support and approve seasonal program schedules and make necessary adjustments to optimize facility usage and program efficiency.

2. Program Oversight and Development

  • Soccer Performance: Provide overall oversight of soccer performance, including results, administrative processes, and developmental goals.
  • Standards and Processes: Develop and maintain soccer standards, processes, and structures, such as a comprehensive coaches manual.
  • Coach Recruitment: Assist directors with the recruitment, assignment, and placement of coaches to ensure a high‑quality coaching staff.
  • Player Recruitment: Develop and oversee a robust player identification and recruitment process to attract and retain talented players.

3. Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Registration Forecast: Collaborate with directors to develop an annual forecast of registration numbers for each location and program, setting realistic growth targets.
  • Marketing: Act as an ambassador for the RevKids Academy program, working closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the programs and attract new participants.
  • Coach Development Process: Oversee the coach development process, including scheduling internal and external education opportunities to ensure continuous professional growth for all coaches.

4. Customer Service and Community Engagement

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service to existing customers and visitors, fostering positive relationships and encouraging repeat participation.
  • Community Outreach: Engage in outreach efforts to attract potential new customers, building the reputation and visibility of the RevKids Academy programs within the community.

Requirements

  • Minimum USSF B License (or foreign equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 plus years in similar senior leadership capacity within youth soccer.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US youth soccer landscape.
  • Full and Clean Driving License.

Preferred

  • Degree in Related Field.
  • 5 plus years as a Club / Academy Director within US youth soccer.
  • USSF A Youth License (or foreign equivalent).
  • Bilingual Spanish / English (fluency in both languages preferred).
