Academic Tutor and Mentor

As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve in public schools to provide individualized and small‑group academic support, focusing on core subjects like math and reading. You will build strong relationships with students, mentor them in goal setting and social‑emotional skills, and help create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment. Working closely with teachers and a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll track student progress, support enrichment activities, and contribute to a culture of equity, leadership, and continuous learning while developing your own professional skills.
