General Summary
The Academic Technology Specialist supports the accuracy, consistency, and effective use of the college's academic technology systems, including catalog, curriculum, scheduling, and microcredentialing processes. This position supports the development and maintenance of the annual college catalog; assists with approvals in the catalog system; administers scheduling for interactive and distance-based courses; and provides support for the college's microcredentialing and digital badging platform. Collaborating closely with instructional administration, academic divisions, and campus partners, this position ensures accurate information, timely updates, and effective coordination across locations, learning centers, and instructional modalities. Performs duties in accordance with college policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Catalog Production
Support aspects of the college's catalog software, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
Train staff and administrators in the use of catalog software and related academic systems.
Collaborate with academic leadership to incorporate new or revised courses, programs, and policies.
Support the college's curriculum approval workflow using the institution's electronic curriculum management system (e.g., Modern Campus-Curriculum, Curriculog).
Assist Instructional Operations and Registrar with review of proposals for completeness and accuracy, routing them through the appropriate approval steps.
Provide troubleshooting and user support for faculty and staff engaged in catalog changes.
Essential Functions
Distance Course & Live Video (LV or IP) Scheduling
Schedule, maintain, and update interactive (IP) and distance learning course sections.
Coordinate room assignments college-wide, including learning centers and remote locations.
Collaborate with instructional administrators and division offices for scheduling.
Facilitate scheduling for Early College distance courses, maintaining communication with partnering schools and internal stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Microcredentialing Support
Support the college's microcredentialing and digital badging system to ensure credentials are set up, issued, and maintained accurately.
Assist with the input and maintenance of microcredentials, including descriptions, requirements in coordination with academic and workforce staff.
Provide basic training and user support to faculty and staff on microcredentialing tools and processes.
Assist with reporting and documentation related to microcredential participation and completion.
Serve as a point of contact for microcredentialing questions.

Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with academic divisions, instructional administration, IT, the Faculty Resource Center, Learning Support Services, Career and Workforce Education (CWE), the registrar's office, and vendors as needed.
Consult with faculty and administrative staff regarding catalog revisions and scheduling.
Ensure consistent application of college policies related to course scheduling, catalog content, and credentialing.
Assist with deadline communication, workflow guidance, and best practices in catalog and scheduling processes.
Additional Duties as Assigned.
