Academic Surgical Pathologist: Breast Pathologist
The Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine has a full-time academic faculty position available in breast surgical pathology. Candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience may be considered for the Director of Breast Pathology.
We seek a non‑tenure track Surgical Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor to join an interactive, collegial group of faculty who evaluate a wide variety of breast specimens, including approximately 1,200 new breast cancer cases each year, in a subspecialized setting from seven breast center locations.
A large AP/CP residency program, 14 accredited subspecialty fellowships, advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities, and close ties to the NCI‑designated Winship Cancer Institute provide abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching.
Qualifications
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
- Fellowship training and/or expertise in breast pathology preferred.
- Interest in a second anatomic pathology subspecialty, specifically gynecologic pathology or cytopathology, desirable.
Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
