Overview

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine are seeking Gastroenterologists at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor levels to practice in Morgantown and Fairmont, WV. The position focuses on clinical practice in gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as teaching and academic involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy, ERCP, and advanced therapeutic techniques.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in all aspects of gastrointestinal medicine.
  • Participate in research and academic activities, particularly in chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the GI and Hepatology service line.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent with eligibility for a West Virginia medical license.
  • Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the date of appointment.
