Academic Outpatient Internal Medicine Physician

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group, Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking a board-certified internist to join their growing academic primary care faculty in the bustling Texas Medical Center. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary care services to adult patients within our faculty practice
• Serve as an educator and mentor to internal medicine residents in our outpatient resident continuity clinic
• Provide clinical supervision, facilitate didactic sessions, and offer constructive feedback to support the professional development of trainees
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational curricula in primary care medicine
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with program goals and accreditation requirements
• Engage in scholarly pursuits, including research, quality improvement projects, and academic writing
• Disseminate findings through presentations at conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, promote continuity, and enhance the patient experience

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Board certification in Internal Medicine
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and scholarship
• Experience working in an academic medical center preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
