Job Description of Academic Coach
- Assists teachers and school counselor in the education of students; providing emotional support as needed.
- Assists teachers and school counselor with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
- Organizes a check-in/check-out system with students who need emotional support under the supervision of the school counselor.
- Provides small group friendship lessons that reinforce what is being taught in weekly guidance counseling classes.
- Tutors students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities.
- Maintains confidentiality of student information.
- Supervises students under teacher and school counselor direction.
- Assists with building duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manages the winter clothing and supplies needed for at-risk students.
$16.15 per hour
