Summary of Position
Provides comprehensive academic advising and student support services using a career pathway and case management approach to promote informed decision-making, accurate program placement, academic success, retention, and timely graduation. Evaluates degree progress, determines TSI status, reviews academic standing, and recommends course selections aligned with program requirements. Builds meaningful relationships with students and fosters a caring, connected campus experience by helping students navigate college resources, overcome barriers, and develop a strong sense of belonging and connection to the institution. Delivers exceptional customer service while resolving student issues, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Utilizes CRM systems, student information systems, and data tools to monitor and support student engagement, persistence, retention, and success. Works collaboratively within the Student Success and Persistence Department to provide coordinated, student-centered support and strengthen connections between advising, coaching, and other student success services. Collaborates effectively with faculty, staff, and community partners, participates in college and outreach events, and supports a diverse student population while contributing to a relationship-focused, team-based advising model.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience working with college students or a similar cohort (student services related programs such as admissions, registration, academic advising, financial aid/VA educational benefits, or student success related area). Masters preferred

- Utilize a case management approach to identify student needs, address barriers, provide proactive outreach, and connect students with appropriate campus and community resources.
- Collaborate closely with the Career and Transfer Center to connect students with career exploration, workforce, transfer, and educational pathway resources and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, campus departments, community organizations, and external partners to strengthen coordinated student support and success efforts.
- Create and deliver presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and student engagement initiatives that promote academic success, persistence, career and transfer planning, and connection to the college.
- Utilize CRM systems, student information systems, and other technology to document student interactions, manage cases, conduct proactive outreach, monitor student progress, and support data-informed student success strategies.
- Track, analyze, and maintain advising and student success data; prepare reports and recommendations as requested to support departmental and institutional retention, persistence, and completion goals.
- Contribute to the goals and initiatives of the Student Success and Persistence Department by participating in committees, special projects, professional development, campus events, and collaborative efforts that promote a caring, connected, and student-centered campus culture.
