Abdominal Transplant Surgeon

The Northwell Transplant Institute is seeking a full-time Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to serve as Surgical Director for Pediatric Liver Transplantation. This role involves partnering with an established Pediatric Transplant Hepatology team at Cohen's Children's Medical Center, a leading pediatric teaching hospital. The successful candidate will contribute to comprehensive care for children with liver diseases and transplantation needs within a multidisciplinary setting.

• Multidisciplinary team based at Cohen's Children's Medical Center
• Cohen Children's Medical Center is the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, serving 1.8 million children
• Cohen Children's Medical Center is the tertiary pediatric medical center of the Northwell Health System and the only Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center on Long Island
• Transplant procedures are performed at North Shore University Hospital and Cohen Children's Medical Center
• The Transplant Institute has an expansive network of 40+ office locations

Compensation

• Competitive salary and benefits package
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000

Requirements

• Completed ASTS approved fellowship training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery
• Preferred fellowship training in Pediatric Liver Transplantation Hepatobiliary Surgery
• Candidates with significant focus in pediatric abdominal transplant surgery without advanced pediatric transplant/hepatobiliary surgery fellowship may be considered
• At least 2 years post-fellowship experience
• Proven track record of clinical excellence and surgical proficiency
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
