Quick Facts
- Call only — up to 10 days per month, ongoing
- Call ratio 1:3 — 30-minute response time required
- 6 – 8 patients per shift typical patient load
- 3 – 5 admissions and 8 – 10 patients seen per 24-hour call
- Inpatient and emergency department call coverage
- 10 OR rooms available
- Laparoscopic procedures preferred — appendectomy, cholecystectomy
- Broad surgical skills preferred — OB/GYN, breast, liver, endoscopy
