Poynette Middle School is seeking an innovative and student-centered 8th Grade Teacher to join our dynamic team of growth-minded staff. The successful candidate will teach 8th Grade ELA. We are entering our second year of implementing Arts & Letters Curriculum, are excited about the results we experienced in the first year of implementation, and are looking for the right candidate to help us continue to strengthen our team.
Poynette is a wonderful, small community that takes pride in our schools and fully supports our innovative educational goals. Located 20 minutes north of Madison, Poynette is nestled between some of Wisconsin's finest waterways, prairies, hiking trails, and trout streams.
The School District of Poynette has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative educational learning environments in the Madison area putting research-based practices into action such as grading for learning and the PLC at Work process. Poynette Middle School was recently recognized as a Promising Practices at Work School by Solution Tree and is committed to our vision of Becoming Better Together.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a student-centered teaching philosophy and a willingness to develop and assess 21st century learning experiences. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to build strong connections with students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
License: English, 1777- Regular Education Middle School or Middle Childhood
