The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future. The successful candidate for the role of Associate Software Engineer – Test & Verification will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations.You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations.

Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.Position Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain tests in a.Net Framework and .Net 8/10 environmentCreate test plans and cases based on program requirementsExecute manual exploratory testingWrite automation scripts to automate testing effortsDocument identified defects in bug tracking system and verify implemented fixesTrack quality assurance metrics (defect density, open defects, time to resolution, etc.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's DegreeActive U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCIAbility to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications1+ years of experience in Quality AssuranceProficiency with modern scripting or programming language(s) (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell,.Net etc.)Strong analytical skillsExperience working in an Agile development environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experienceBachelor's degree earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software EngineeringSSCP (ISC2), GSEC (GIAC), CompTIA PenTEST/eJPT, CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst), CISSP and/or CASP+1+ years of unit test development experience1+ years of experience with Azure DevOpsExperience with test automation developmentAt Encode, we believe that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
