Nondestructive Evaluation Technical Analyst - Huntsville, AL - NDE TechnicianWork Location: Huntsville, AL 48-20 Building 48-20 Position Comments: Manager contact: No Max bill rate: $67.63 Shifts: 1st (8 AM-5 PM) Onsite/remote/hybrid: Onsite Interview Information: virtual Physical demands (if any): able to lift 20 lbs Clearance: Secret or minimum Interim secret required to startJob Description: Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations. Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes.

Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology. Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers. Works under general direction.Position Responsibilities:Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, in performing complex analysis and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications.Leads, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.Leads the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of complex issues with suppliers and customers.Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert.Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by leading the design, development, fabrication, testing, evaluation and implementation of new concepts and technology.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1+ years of experience in Nondestructive EvaluationExcellent written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics).Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, energy).Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)ASNT Level 2 in multiple nondestructive evaluation processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection)Experience working in multi-discipline teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical customers.Strong understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics.Experience with project management toolsExcellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations.Active / Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred but not required.Typical Education/Experience:Early Career (Level 1) Associates Technical degreeMid-Career (Level 3) Bachelor's degree or equivalent Education / Experience: AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional Information:Full Time / Part Time / On Call: Full timeShift: FirstStart Time: 8:00 AMEnd Time: 5:00 PMDoes this position require a U.S person for purposes of Export Compliance?: YesRequested Security Clearance: SecretIs Clearance Required To Start?: YesSafety Sensitive?: Not Required - Non-Safety Sensitive PositionTravel Required?: NoInternational Travel Required: NoTravel Comments: Report to work instructions after obtaining badge: Badging available onsite: 499 Client's Blvd.
