CNC Milling OperatorResponsible for the operation of 5th Axis CNC Milling equipment as directed. Responsible for completing jobs to quality and customer standards.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther tasks and duties may be required as directed.Set-up, adjust and write programs for 5 Axis CNC MachinesOversee the operation and setups of 5 Axis CNC MachinesCheck inspection features of production hardware as directedResponsible for the efficient utilization of machinery including the use of automatic features, and the output of quality productSelect the proper work holding equipment, and ensure competitive removal rates and set-up times are maintained or advancedResponsible for performing the job function of the programmer on an as needed basisEnsure proper maintenance of the machine toolsAdjust speeds, feeds, and offsets as requiredResponsible for meeting production standardsAssist Cell Leader in maintaining production dispatch report on timeClean work areas, including machinery, carts, and floorCheck parts and keep machines runningCreate and edit manual data input (MDI) machine tool codes at the machine controlGenerate and document SPC data as requiredEarn and maintain OCP certificationSeek and document lean process improvement ideasQualification RequirementsEducation/Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Minimum 2 years of related experience or trainingProficient with ESPIRIT programming softwarePrior experience with Okuma CNC machinesLanguage Skills Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write in simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to supervisors and other employees.Math Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Skills Ability to understand and follow instructions conveyed through written, verbal, or diagrammatic means.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer/Office Skills Basic windows/internet browserERP/InventoryBlueprint readingStrong Mechanical AptitudePhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands Frequent Activities: Standing, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking/hearing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.Occasional activities: Sitting, walking, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbsRare activities: Climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (100+ lbs)Vision Requirements Frequent: Close vision, ability to adjust focusOccasional: Distance vision, computer work, peripheral vision, depth perceptionRare: Color visionWork Environment Frequent exposure: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, moderate-to-loud noiseOccasional exposure: Vibrations, very loud noise.Rare exposure: Outdoor weather conditions, high places, electrical shock, and very quiet or quiet noise levels.About Crissair, Inc.Since 1954, Crissair has manufactured high-quality precision components for nearly every airframe manufacturer and major subcontractor in the industry for both military and commercial aircraft.
