What You'll Do

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately based on physician orders
• Interpret and verify verbal and written drug orders into patient records
• Compound and dispense sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
• Issue controlled substances and maintain regulatory records
• Provide clinical consultation, including drug interaction and contraindication review
• Monitor and adjust drug therapies, ensuring safety and efficacy
• Participate in medication management, antibiotic and opioid stewardship programs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during rounds and clinical activities
• Educate patients and families on medication use and safety

What You Need

• Required:
  • Louisiana Pharmacy Licensure
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Preferred:
  • ACLS certification
  • Experience in ICU, emergency, behavioral health, or orthopedic settings
