3rd Shift - Line AssemblerAs a 3rd Shift Line Assembler you will be responsible for assembling industrial chillers and related mechanical and electrical components according to engineering specifications and production standards. This role ensures high-quality builds through safe work practices, precise assembly, and adherence to established procedures. This is a 3rd shift position.
Hours are 10:00pm - 6:00am. Must have availability to train on day shift for an undeterred time frame from 6:00am - 2:00pmKey ResponsibilitiesAssemble industrial chiller units and subassemblies (mechanical, structural, and electrical components) using hand and power toolsRead, interpret, and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and standard operating proceduresInstall components such as frames, piping, heat exchangers, fans, motors, compressors, wiring harnesses, and control systemsPerform routing, measuring, fitting, and fastening of parts per specificationsConduct quality checks to ensure assembly accuracy and product functionalityReport defects, part shortages, or production issues to supervisorsMeet production schedule targets and maintain consistent workmanship standardsComply with all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all timesMaintain work area organization (5S) and contribute to continuous improvement effortsCollaborate with team members and support cross-training as neededRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED1+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, HVAC, mechanical, or electrical work (industrial or heavy manufacturing preferred)Ability to read and follow blueprints, written instructions, and technical documentationProficiency using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instrumentsUnderstanding of mechanical and/or electrical assembly fundamentalsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyBasic knowledge of electrical components and wiringBasic understanding of lean manufacturing or 5S principlesGood attendance and punctualityMUST be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screenWork EnvironmentFast-paced industrial manufacturing settingExposure to moving machinery, power tools, loud noise, and varying temperaturesPPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.)Work ScheduleOvertimeOtherWeekend availabilityNight shiftBlack Bear Talent - Natural Bridge Natural Bridge, VA, 24578
