3rd Shift Lathe MachinistCategory: Light IndustrialLocation: Warren, MI 48089Pay: $25.00 HourlyStatus: OpenDescription3rd Shift Lathe MachinistDirect Hire 3rd Shift Lathe Machinist - $25 to $30 per hourWhat's in it for you?Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansAnd More!3rd Shift Lathe Machinist Details:Direct Hire position$ 25.00 to $ 30.00 / hourThird Shift (Sunday through Thursday from 11:00pm to 07:30am)Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to run Lathe MachinesMust be willing to run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible as most machines are part of manufacturing cells/machining centersAbility to work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless SteelAbility to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheetsMust be proficient in mathematics and be able to use a calculatorAbility to use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the programAbility to load part onto a fixtureAbility to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machineAbility to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machineMust be able to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or partAbility to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometersFamiliarity with operation of Right-Angle HeadsMust have Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledgeMust possess the ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths3rd Shift Lathe Machinist Qualifications:Job Requirements:5+ years' operating CNC Machinery in a manufacturing environment-preferably AerospaceExperience working with major aerospace OEMs (Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls Royce, etc..)Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk up a few stairs on machine platforms to access machinesTeam player with the skills to work with people at all levels in a fast paced and demanding environment.Ability to work overtime as neededMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
