Applicants must have relevant experience aligned with the requirements of this position to be considered.About the RoleAn established precision manufacturing organization in the Cincinnati area is seeking a skilled Machinist II for its third-shift operation. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining equipment, producing precision components to specification, troubleshooting machining issues, and making adjustments directly at the machine. The successful candidate must have hands-on CNC lathe experience and must be comfortable reading and editing G-code and M-code at the machine control. Swiss machining experience is not required. This is a hands-on machining role rather than an offline programming position.

Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam is not required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes and other CNC machining equipment according to blueprints, specifications, and production requirementsRead, understand, and edit CNC programs directly at the machine, including G-code and M-codeTroubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate program, tooling, offset, or machine-setting adjustmentsInspect in-process and finished components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection toolsAdjust machine settings as necessary to maintain dimensional accuracy and product requirementsMonitor machining operations and identify issues that may affect quality, efficiency, or productionOperate multiple machines as required while maintaining appropriate quality and safety standardsSupport a manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvementQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentAt least 1 year of hands-on CNC machining experienceCNC lathe experience is requiredAbility to set up and operate CNC machining equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specificationsAbility to read, understand, and edit G-code and M-code directly at the CNC machine controlAbility to troubleshoot machining issues and make machine or program adjustmentsExperience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometersAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a manufacturing teamStrong attention to detail with a focus on safety and product qualityPreferred QualificationsCNC turning experienceCNC setup experienceExperience with Swiss-style CNC equipmentExperience working in a precision manufacturing environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in an active manufacturing environment throughout the scheduled shiftAbility to operate multiple machines as requiredAbility to regularly lift up to approximately 35 poundsAbility to safely operate machining equipment and associated toolsCompensationThe hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $30 and $35.00+ per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.BenefitsHealthDentalVisionPTOPaid Holidays
